Safe or Unsafe?

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is working on behalf of consumers everyday to keep us safe. You'll find all kinds of information about the safety of children's toys and equipment, items for the home, the latest recalls and legal actions being taken. Take a few minutes to visit their website which is full of current information - www.cpsc.gov. You may find this a valuable site for "go to" information on products you are considering to purchase or items you currently have. I've been amazed looking through the site how many items are recalled that I didn't see on the news or through another source of information. The CPSC also asks for your help in reporting products that have issues relating to their use and operation. You can connect with them directly on their website.

From their website -

CPSC is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of injury or death associated with the use of the thousands of consumer products under the agency's jurisdiction. Deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product incidents cost the nation more than $900 billion annually. CPSC is committed to protecting consumers and families from products that pose a fire, electrical, chemical, or mechanical hazard. CPSC's work to ensure the safety of consumer products - such as toys, cribs, power tools, cigarette lighters, and household chemicals - contributed to a decline in the rate of deaths and injuries associated with consumer products over the past 30 years.
